So I’ve been making a real effort lately to up my vegetable intake a lot. I’m trying hard to make my diet primarily vegetable with a sprinkling of healthy fats and proteins because I know that eating lots of veggies would probably be good for my health. 😉 It’s been amazing because I feel great and weight is falling off. And the best part? I’m finding awesome new recipes like this Lemon Basil Salad Dressing recipe!
? ?
Ingredients
-1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
-1 drop Lemon Essential Oil
-1 drop Basil Essential Oil
-2 cloves crushed garlic
-1/4 tsp pepper
-1/2 tsp sea or pink Himalayan salt
-1/2 tsp Basil
Directions
First, go grab a mason jar or a glass salad dressing bottle. Then combine all ingredients in the jar (I like to add a shaker ball so that it combines well). And don’t forget to shake well before each use.
Enjoy!!
And then tell me how you like this recipe! I usually like to add it to my salads. I like to pack on the spinach, bell peppers, red onion, avocado, tomatoes, and whatever else happens to be in my fridge! If you have a favorite homemade salad dressing recipe, I’d love for you to share it with me!!
doTERRA Essential Oils
I recommend only one brand of essential oils. Please do not use these tips if you are going to go out and buy the cheapest brands that you can find. When it comes to essential oils, you get what you pay for. There’s hardly any regulation on the essential oil market so you have to do your due diligence when purchasing oils. After research, I fell on doTERRA. DoTERRA holds themself to the highest purity and safety standards on the market -plus they hold themselves to fair trade and sustainability practices.
You can learn more about doTERRA’s CPTG (Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade) standards on my blog post about it.
You can get doTERRA essential oils for full price here. Or you can get a costco-like wholesale membership and pay 25% less than retail. Learn more about the wholesale membership here.
