doTERRA Petal Diffuser Review: Pros and Cons
There are a lot of diffuser options out there. You can sometimes get them at Wally World, Target, or Bed Bath and Beyond. You know well enough not to get the essential oils from those places – hello, yuck and scary. Check out my post about doTERRA’s CPTG standard if you want to know why I’ve chosen to use doTERRA’s oils. But you want a diffuser in every room but don’t want to spend a fortune. Let’s break down the good and bad in my doTERRA Petal Diffuser Review: Pros and Cons.
Are you in need of essential oils? Check out my SHOP page – I can get you the highest quality essential oils at 25% off retail price.
Petal Diffuser Cons
-Only runs for up to 4 hours
Depending on how you want to use your diffuser, four hours might not be long enough. If you are using it overnight and want it to stay on the majority of the night, you might want a diffuser that will stay on longer. But if you just want it on for the first few hours while you are settling in for the night, this one is great.
-Not as long of life-expectancy as a higher end diffuser
I don’t expect any diffuser around this price range to last longer than a year or two to be honest. With diffusers, you get what you pay for. I have, however, had mine for over a year and a half and still have had no issues. I get an AromaLite or Ace as a long-term diffuser.
-Not the best for large, multi-room areas (areas larger than 330 sq. ft.)
This diffuser is good for a child’s room but not the main living space.
Petal Diffuser Pros
-Low price range ($47 Wholesale, $62.67 Retail)
The price of the doTERRA Petal Diffuser is similar to prices you’ll see at big box stores.
-Works very well in a small room (up to 330 sq. ft.)
We use this diffuser in both of my toddler’s rooms for bedtime. It’s great for one room! Just a couple drops goes a long way!
-Aesthetically pleasing
I get really tired of hippie-looking diffusers with weird shapes and colors. I just want something simple and nice. Nothing crazy, ok? The Petal Diffuser could fit into many home’s looks. It has a lavender bottom half and a soft white top half.
You can choose to have the light on or off while the diffuser is running. The light will automatically turn off when the diffuser shuts off. This makes it a nice option for kids that need a light on while they are falling asleep but don’t need one all the way through the night.
-Three different timer settings (1, 2, & 4 hour settings)
Options are always good right?
-Easy-to-use, makes for a good first diffuser
If you are brand new to essential oils and you just need a beginner’s diffuser. THIS is the diffuser for you.
How to Use a doTERRA Petal Diffuser

How to Clean a Petal Diffuser
